Post Day Job Bliss #12

folderMy Bloody Valentine M B V paired with an Ommegang Abbey Ale

This felt like something that would never actually happen. I was blown away the first time I heard Loveless, and it’s still one of my favorite albums. This feels like the logical follow up, 21 years later. This isn’t a review of the new album, just a reflection. MBV is like listening to crayons melting into a big colorful pool, you can zone out and just let the sound wash over you. Things that shouldn’t mesh do so perfectly, vocals are absorbed by what I can only imagine to be warehouses full of melting tape. It’s like space church. Listen.  And buy it, 21 years of studio time can’t come cheap.
